I’ve been a teacher for twelve years, and have gained experience working in state and independent schools across many different year groups. My experience enables me to quickly pinpoint which area(s) a young learner may require support, as well as any gaps in their knowledge.

My teaching experience, combined with my personal journey as a parent of a school age child, allows me to really understand the challenges that some children face when trying to master the primary curriculum.

I believe that confidence is absolutely vital to learning success. Unfortunately, time pressure at school and constraints providing enough teaching support in the classroom, can impact a young learner and their self-confidence, immeasurably.

Lots of children fear making mistakes and may feel scared to ask for help. This can also hinder their development as their challenges grasping a concept may only be detected when a teacher marks their work.

Since the birth of my youngest child in 2021, I have decided to take a hiatus from classroom teaching and I am now focusing on providing 1-1 tuition.

My sessions are tailored and hands on. They come with lots of encouragement and most importantly, fun. They will develop your child’s skills and proficiency, enabling them to become a self-confident and happy learner.
